Laura Oakes received her Bachelor of Science in 2018 at the University of Oregon and Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2021 at Willamette College of Law.

While in law school, Laura was an editor for Willamette Law Review and completed clerkships in the Willamette Trusts and Estates Clinic, the Oregon Department of Justice Health and Human Services Division, and an insurance defense firm. After passing the Oregon Bar in 2022, Laura practiced law in Indiana from 2022 to 2024 wherein she defended the Indiana Department of Corrections against litigation brought by incarcerated persons.

In 2025, Laura returned to Oregon and joined Gardner Beckley Meadows as an associate attorney. Laura’s practice primarily focuses on probate matters, landlord-tenant disputes, and general civil litigation.
